Opened three plays in as many days for the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s 2017 season. Last appeared here in 2009 and a delight to be back for my first Summer season. Acting company is insanely talented, great designer collaborators and a chance to take a swing at Shakespeare (As You Like It), A play about Shakespeare (Shakespeare in Love) and… PIRATES!

Geoffrey Kent appears like a walking ghost, embodying the role of Annie’s brother.  This part is a real breakthrough for Kent, who’s made a whole career of playing confident, sunny, swash-buckling characters.  Georgie is a sad and simple storm-cloud of a man, portrayed by Kent with substance and honesty.
