Geoffrey Kent (SDC) has staged countless acts of violence within Colorado and beyond including eighteen years with the Denver Center for the Performing arts as their resident Fight Director (1001, Skull in Connemara, Superior Donuts, Lonesome West, Black Odyssey, King Hedley II, To Kill a Mockingbird, Vietgone, Oklahoma) and fourteen with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival (Treasure Island, Three Musketeers, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Hamlet, I Hate Hamlet, Equivocation, Troilus & Cressida). Other favorites include Henry the Sixth, Part One and Treasure Island for the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Cymbeline and Titus Andronicus with the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, The Lieutenant of Inishmore and Bug with Curious Theatre Company, Carmen with Opera Colorado, Romeo & Juliet with the Aspen/Sante Fe Ballet, Cyrano deBergerac for the Boulder Ensemble Theatre, Julius Caesar for the American Shakespare Center, and Les Miserables with the Arvada Center. Geoffrey is chair of the Fight Steering Committee for the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, has staged thirty-four of Shakespeare’s thirty-seven works is one of only twenty recognized Fight Masters with the Society of American Fight Directors, the largest organization of stage combatants in the world.
